I met Lucy through a designer friend and was super happy when she reached out again to do some portraits. Despite the little time we had to prepare the session, she was super relax and so nice to work with. Love how photogenic she is!

The Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association (RTRA) was founded in 1995 after the need for a therapeutic horseback riding program in the community was identified. The program moved to Twin Oaks Farm in 2001. RTRA offers Therapeutic Riding lessons for children and youth with disabilities. The Association provides a quality therapeutic horseback riding program for children and youth with disabilities in order to promote physical, social and psychological well being In 2019 I was able to spend a few days around the facilities thanks to my friend M. who worked there as an instructor, and then shoot the life of the facility and the horses. Therapy horses need to be patient, gentle, and very safe. Not all horses have the personality to do it and can handle what happens on their back!                                    |
